Complaints and Content Removal
Users can report content that may be illegal or violates our standards by emailing [email protected].
If you are shown in content on Mayhem RED and want it removed, use our Content Removal and Appeals Policy. Any person shown in content may request removal. If we find that consent was not given or is not valid under applicable law, the content will be removed. Disagreements about depicted-person removal requests can be resolved through a neutral third party.
Please include the following information:
- A link to the offending content
- A short description of why you believe the content is illegal or violates our standards
- Any supporting evidence or context
- If you are requesting removal of content featuring you, proof that you are who you say you are (for example, a selfie with a government ID clearly visible)
Review Process
- Intake and triage: We log the complaint and prioritize it based on risk and urgency.
- Initial review: We review the reported content, related accounts, and available evidence.
- Additional checks (if needed): We may request additional information before deciding.
- Decision and action: We apply the appropriate outcome under our policies and applicable law.
- Notice to complainant: We communicate the resolution outcome to the complainant.
Complaints will be reviewed and resolved within five (5) business days.
Complaint Decision Review
If you want us to re-review a general complaint decision, email [email protected] with the subject line "Complaint Review" and include the original report details, the decision you want reviewed, and any new information.
This general complaint review process is separate from the Content Removal and Appeals Policy for people shown in Mayhem RED content.
Possible Outcomes
Depending on the review, outcomes may include:
- Content removal or access restriction
- Account warning, suspension, or termination
- No action taken when evidence is insufficient or no violation is found
- Reporting to law enforcement, payment processors, or other relevant authorities, when appropriate
