Start accepting credit card payments on your Mayhem Marketplace

Setting up Automated Card Payments

The Standard plan supports automated card checkout. Marketplace sellers can connect PayPal; eligible U.S. sellers can instead use Mayhem's Authorize.net payout flow. Mayhem Red sellers use CCBill. The available setup shown in your dashboard depends on your storefront country and realm.

Requirements

  1. Standard Plan: You must be on the Standard plan. If needed, upgrade from Plan Settings.

  2. Processor Eligibility: Authorize.net onboarding is currently available only to eligible U.S. Marketplace storefronts. PayPal is the automated option currently shown to Marketplace sellers outside the U.S. Mayhem Red uses its separate CCBill onboarding.

  3. Payout Information: The Authorize.net path requires valid U.S. tax, bank, and identity information. PayPal and CCBill collect their own required onboarding details.

Basic Important Terms

  • Any customer-paid processor fee is itemized during checkout. The amount depends on the selected processor.

  • You can request a payout every 30 days. Payouts are processed by our team manually and may take up to a week. We review all payout requests before issuing them and may contact either you or your customers if needed.

  • For physical products, orders with shipping tracking numbers can be added to payout requests 3 days after shipping. Orders without tracking numbers can be added to payout requests 14 days after shipping.

  • A Rolling Reserve may apply to Mayhem-managed card payouts. The order and payout screens show any amount held.

Setting up Credit Card Payments

For the U.S. Authorize.net option, open Payout Settings → Payout Profile. You will need to provide the following information:

  • Tax Information (W9): Your legal name, address, and social security number or EIN.

  • Bank Account: Your bank account number and routing number.

  • Identity Verification: You will need to upload a photo of your government-issued ID (driver's license, passport, etc), and a selfie of you holding the ID.

  • Wait for Approval: Our team reviews the submission. Once approved, you can enable the Authorize.net billing mode from the payout profile.

  • Request a Payout: Once you have earnings, you can request a payout once every 30 days. Your dashboard will tell you exactly which orders are eligible to be paid out, and if there are any reserve fees held. For physical products, orders with tracking numbers become eligible 3 days after shipping, while orders without tracking numbers become eligible 14 days after shipping.

Sensitive payout-profile fields and identity files are encrypted. Information is used for payment, payout, identity, fraud-prevention, and legally required reporting purposes and is shared only as needed with service providers or authorities.
