Relative Variant Pricing
Relative pricing lets a variant add to or subtract from another price instead of replacing it. It is useful when several choices affect the same product, such as a shirt with a full price for each size and an extra charge for premium fabric. When the product's base price changes, you only need to update that price; the adjustments can stay as they are.
Open the product's Stock & Variants section and add or edit a variant. Enter the amount in the Price field, select Price is an adjustment, and save it. A positive amount raises the price and a negative amount lowers it. Leaving the amount blank creates a $0 adjustment. If the box is not selected, the amount is treated as that variant's full price; leaving a full-price field blank makes it use the product's base price.
At checkout, Mayhem starts with the product's base price or the highest full price among the shopper's selected variants, then adds all selected adjustments. For example, a $25 shirt with a +$3 XL adjustment and a +$5 premium-fabric adjustment costs $33. This keeps multi-option products manageable without requiring a separate full price for every possible combination.
The final product price cannot fall below $0. Pay What You Want products may use relative-price variants, but not variants with their own full prices; in that case, adjustments are added to the amount the shopper chooses.
