Invoices
Invoices are useful when you need to bill a customer for work that does not fit a normal storefront checkout, such as a custom job, an agreed-upon service, or several charges collected on one bill. They give both you and the customer a clear record of what was charged, when it is due, and whether it has been paid.
Go to Account → Invoices and choose Create Invoice. Add the customer's name and email, a due date, and one line for each item, service, or fee. You can also include tax, shipping, a discount, your own invoice number, and an opening message. Save it as a draft if you still need to review it, or send it immediately; sending notifies the customer and gives them a private link to the invoice on your storefront.
The customer can review the itemized total, use the payment methods configured for your store, and send questions from the invoice page. Your Invoices dashboard records whether the invoice was sent, viewed, overdue, awaiting card settlement, or paid, along with its payment history and customer messages. Internal notes stay visible only to you.
Double-check the line items before sending, since they can only be changed while the invoice is a draft. If a customer pays you outside Mayhem, use Mark as Paid after you confirm the money arrived. A manually marked payment closes the balance for record-keeping, but it is excluded from Mayhem payout requests; payments collected through a supported storefront processor are tracked through that processor instead.
